Giveaway for my 69th Post!! 5 winners!! Toffee Peanut Butter Cookie! MORE!

Toffee Peanut Butter Cookies

I could NOT, NOT, NOT let my 69th post go by without a celebration giveaway..I mean 69 being my most favorite sport, and all. I am giving away 5 wonderful prizes at the end of this post in honor of 69. How can one NOT love 69? Such a nice number. A hot, nice number. A number that is in favor of women. How? A smart sexy savvy horny deep throated woman knows NOT to let her man reach that finish line until she's had all hers. ALL hers. 69 has the potential for a MULTIPLE satisfying experience.

Repeat after me.. No reaching the finish line till I get all of mine.. that is the rule of my number 69.. Repeat after me.. NO REACHING THE FINISH LINE, TILL I GET ALL OF MINE.. THAT is the RULE OF MY NUMBER 69! YEAH, baby, lets hear it for 69.

OK, I know you're thinking what if its 2 girlies whose favorite numbers are 69? Interesting thought, intriguing, hmmm.. I'll try-- give it some thought.

Toffee Peanut Butter Cookies

Buy these
Preheat your oven to 375. In a bowl beat your shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla until well blended.
Add an egg and beat until just blended. Combine your flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually beat it into the peanut butter mixture.
Stir in
1 cup milk chocolate covered toffee bits,
reserving remainder for topping. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
Top each cookie with reserved toffee bits. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes till set.
Do not overbake.
Cool for 2 minutes then remove
to wire rack
to cool completely..
Makes about 45 cookies.
These were both a hit at home with the children
and a bigger hit with my FFH and his firefighter fighter of flames co-workers.
So I know its going in my keeper recipe binder.
How well do you know some of your fellow food bloggers? I know them well, some of them.. I want you to also. Check out some of their comments, then go visit them, tell them I sent you with a big fat kiss from me, yes, a kiss, with tongue of course. This is a 69th post after all.

Passionate Eater felt bad that Tyler had to cover his raw and chopped man parts becuz of all the work he had to do with me..

Geez, Monica, what about me? My manicure was ruined, my lips were chapped, and I had a sore neck and knees for days. Passionate Eater also wants to do yoga poses at home in front of a George Clooney poster... OMG girlfriend, excellent idea for an inner thight workout.

Judy thinks this photo of chicken being sliced is a bit suggestive (Oh My virgin ears)

and she says she never fakes it.. good for you ,Judy, with a mind like yours and thinking of chicken that way, I wouldnt expect any less.

BuffaloDick admits he faked it once, he says the sheep dont seem to care. He also says I have all his respect and awe becuz I can do the deed in a car wash. AW, Shucks, BD, you should see what I can accomplish on a trampoline.

Joie de Vivre says it is not possible to complete the deed in a car wash.. well my sweet friend, I am always open to an audience.

Poor Amy, my very Good Calm in the Kitchen Friend, leaves my posts salivating and blushing, maybe you recall she is also the one who drools and laughs at the same time... Don't worry, Amy, when the men in the white coats come, you've got a friend.

Mary Beth practices her kegels every day at work while sitting at her desk.. just wondering though Mary Beth, where are your hands during practice sessions? Do you have the goofy smiles at work?

Hairball says My FFH and I better never get arrested, she'd miss me.. Honestly though hairball, one of my fantasies involves a female prison.

John GL says a good stiff kielbasa will always save the day.. Um John are speaking from experience? Do you use front door or back?

Mama Chicken and Carole will never look at showerheads the same way again.. never mind looking at them, use them ladies, Cheryl loves her showerhead and at times they are one. Now you're talking my language; self-pleasure-ese.

Wait till I tell you about Chef E, Oh Chef E, you make me laugh. Chef E says malted milk balls are great massage and play toys if you rub them on your parnter. She also says she gets turned on by me getting turned on.. OK, shh, my FFH works nights sometimes.. phone me..

Doggybloggy wonders .. add 20 minutes to BJ time how long can this go on.. till one is begging for completion then 5 minutes more.

Buffalodick also couldnt focus on the rest of my post after reading about adding 20 minutes to BJ time. Jeez, guys, 20 minutes is easy peasy. Women take note as to of how much POWER one can yield through the raw talent of a good long old fashioned BJ..

Joanne reminds me of one of the greatest benefits of the BJ, she says think of how strong your abs would get from all that up and down motion. Not to mention you can make fish cheeks better than anyone. She also says That a BJ is the gift that keeps on giving. Right on sister.

Doggy Bloggy also says they should 'erect' a monument in my honor.. high praise indeed.. a johnson in my honor..you flatter me.. He then goes on to say.. and being the cook that I am I love putting things in peoples mouths.. he bets my pie is a tasty treasure. You can take that one to Atlantic City, Christo, and put it all on black

Rauolys Girl Says SWALLOW, why waste a good thing, Spryte is of the same thinking SWALLOW, DUH! Justjoycee says You are not a real woman unless you swallow. Do you guys swallow after he eats a garlicky dinner, also? Garlic seeps through everything, everything. I do, I am a trooper. Swallow equals control.. Swallow equals control.

Reeni says I Love an Easy tart.. I love you right back Reeni!

Bob is a man of the dual boob move, he doesn't care if one is bigger, he's just glad they are there. Same reasnoning I use for the one eyed muscles, admit it they are not the prettiest of sites, but Im glad they are there, so glad.

Jeff stopped reading one of my posts after seeing little bo peep, he had to make a bathroom stop.. you did save me the video, right, Jeff, honey?

  2. Too funny, ya did enjoy with a new boyfriend. Ha, ha, ha...

Appetizer: I love appetizers. I like to make a bean dip. 1st layer is Refried beans, 2nd layer is a mix of 8 ounces cream mix with 1 cup sour cream, 1 garlic and 1 tsp chili powder. 3rd layer is grated cheese. Cook in oven for 20 min. at 350F. Take out of oven and add cilantro, salsa, green olives, green onions to taste of top. Serve with tortilla chips. A winner everytime I make it.

  3. My favorite no fail appetizer is totally simple...lil smokies :( I suck at appetizers so I just fry those bad boys up!

  4. LOL Most people have a giveaway on their 100th post, but I should have guessed that you'd be right there with the 69th post! I graduated from high school in 1969... dang if we didn't have fun with that! I've got your button on my blog :)

    ReplyDelete
  5. Ok, on the giveaway, I WILL gracefully bow out this time...since I just won. I am not greedy...I like to share the love.

And I had to comment on the garlic thing.

I adore garlic. It is one of my favorite things. I don't, however, love the "affect" that it can sometimes have...the one you are alluding to. I have a nifty trick that I use. Since I love ya, I'll share...

Chocolate or pineapple. If I give him dessert, it helps. A spoonful of sugar, babe...spoonful of sugar.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm laughing and blushing (and I'm too old to blush). Having just won the only thing I ever won in my life - I'm not here scrounging around either! Just to say - those cookies will make my son and daughter very, very happy!

    ReplyDelete

  9. My favorite appetizer is artichoke dip, just mix up chokes, mayo, cheese, and something spicy, bake until bubbly. And while it's baking you have time for, er, other activities.

  10. Good lord all mighty am I laughing over here...but I will try not to giggle when I call you later *wink*...

If you look at 69; then you realize it is my birth sign, my twins sign, my ying and yang of attention getters...as I run for the stove when I hear the timer going off, or realize I have left the water running...they go bouncing up and down with every step...Ty, hubby, and every man, sometimes a woman loves to watch them do their Gemini thing...

As for appetizers who doesn't like sucking on a nice and greasy hot link between a good piece of bread...before dinner...every cook sneaks a pre-meal in...

    ReplyDelete
  11. Only you Donna, only you! :) Your button is already on my blog! I'll get to ya with the other options...

  20. Heh, you are so not getting that information out of me with magazines. Info like that requires booze. ;)

Well, except the appetizer. Honestly, I never make appetizers because I don't entertain. But I would make bacon tunnels, in finger size, if I ever needed one.

    ReplyDelete
  21. It's hard for me to believe that you're only on your 69th post. Your blog is so great, I figured you've been doing this forever! Congrats on reaching 69 (lol, I've never uttered those words to anyone before!) I hope there are many more to come!

My favorite appetizer is a spinach and cheese quiche that I just recently made and that i will be posting soon. What a great giveaway, I am a total sucker for those magazines!

    ReplyDelete
  22. (a) Favorite appetizer - homemade hummus and pita chips. Also, spinach and artichoke dip. I like things that are white. And creamy.

    (b) Happy 69th! It really is a good number. I can't EXACTLY remember my first experience, sometime in high school with my longterm boyfriend at the time. We discovered that I have multi-tasking issues meaning that I found it very hard to focus on him while I was being focused on. I have a short attention span. I'm working on it.

    (c) I read your recap of my comment and laughed out loud! I totally couldn't remember the context of it. Love you and the blog and the cookies Donna, always makes me smile.

    ReplyDelete
  23. OK! My first 69 experience was when I was 17..it was totally awkward and I didn't know what to do! haha! I'm totallt embarassed that I just shared that!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hmm, Donna, after reading this. I'm thinking we can have a swap: your cookies (and sex tips) for my turnovers. Sound good? Awesome. Of course, I have a few stories of my own that you'd appreciate (or at least laugh about). Perhaps i should save them for an email :) Oh, and in answer to your question, suffice it to say: your number is a favorite of mine. Although, being 5'3" like I am and having a 6'3" boyfriend, you can imagine that there's some great, aerobatic stretching going on :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. I was shocked that this is only your 69th post. I honestly assumed you had been blogging for a long time. Wait.......69th blog? Is this your FIRST 69th blog or your SECOND 69th blog? Sort of like when you turn 20 for the second time?? Hmmmmm. My favorite appetizer is the bacon wrapped shrimp I posted April 10th. Congrats on your achievement, may you enjoy 69th anniversaries forever.

  31. I made sure I was not eating or drinking when reading tonight (this morning)so the moniter is still clean. I also read it late enough that I don't need to discuss the virtues of 69 with my daughter-best she gets a friend to help her, oh that sounds bad.

Favorite appy would be deviled eggs which I made for movie day with my friends today (Gotta love Brokeback Mountain-yummy Jake and Heath). Here they are http://buttermykitchen.blogspot.com/2009/01/tangy-deviled-eggs.html

and I already have your button :)

It starts with a layer of refried beans, then a layer of sour cream, then a layer of shredded mozarella cheese, and then a layering of chopped scallions - served with tortilla chips! It sounds simple, I know..but it's OH so good.

My favorite, no-fail appetizer is tomato-bacon cups, a recipe from Taste of Home magazine. Just separate refrigerated biscuits into layers and press into mini-muffin cups. 80. Congratulations on your 69th post. Your cookies look delicious. We were married in 69 which makes me old but who cares right? We're still in love. My favorite easy appetizer is sliced smoked salmon on cream cheese with capers and dill on toasted sourdough.

  86. My favorite appetizer is my guacamole! It is never the same. I always add a touch of this and that to add texture and flavor. It is usually 69 awesome! Congrats on hitting the 69!!!

  87. hahaha! you are seriously the most interesting woman ever. 69 is such a random number though!

  88. Happy 69 to you!!! Will you celebrate it all night long?
    Best appetizer? a Cock-tail?

  89. Now that's a celebration! Don't celebrate the 100th post. No blogiversaries for you. Just celebrate post 69. I love it. I think I should have at least gotten my geek on and celebrated my post #42.

A month before his death I had the priviledge of seeing the late George Carlin perform. He had just turned 70 and started the show by saying how he didn't like turning 70 because he liked being 69 and what a great number 69 was. He said it several times. There were children in the audience. I don't envy their parents having to explain that joke to them later.

My favorite appetizer is crostini. I do a very nice one with sherried mushrooms (I also sometimes just serve the mushrooms by themselves whole on toothpicks). Goat cheese is cool too, particularly with a little proscuitto. My recipe is here. http://baconandrhubarb.blogspot.com/2008/05/monthly-mingle-blog-event.html

  90. At first, I was just going to comment on how much I like cookies... but now i'll tell a story. One time I made cookies when I was on a diet. After dinner I asked my husband if he wanted a cookie. He heard quickie.
    He said 'YES! DO YOU?'
since I had said "cookie' and I was on a diet, I said, "no, why would I?"
    we were both very confused.

  91. These cookies make me drool ALMOST (not quite) as much as the beefcakes you're usually posting pictures of! Love 'em (the cookies and the men) :)

Appetizer...hmm...appetizer, I guess I'd have to go with one Jalapenos Stuffed with Cheese and Wrapped in Bacon - seriously, what isn't good wrapped in Bacon? We'll leave the what isn't good stuffed with cheese comment out as that might be painful.... http://bytes-from-texas.blogspot.com/2008/12/bacon-wrapped-jalapenos.html

  96. gosh your blog is so amazing. look at all these comments!!

cookies look great, of COURSE, but the celebratory 69th post idea hilarious. How do you come up with these things all day?!?!

No-fail appetizer? Is it wrong to go with nachos? I mean, I love them, you can make them even when your kitchen is a little bare (got chicken, chips and cheese?) or you can make them fancy (black olives? onions? crockpot taco chicken? seasoned ground beef with homemade cheese sauce? mmmmmm). Plus-- if you make those for your boyfriend, let's just say it doesn't matter HOW long of a day he's had. He'll... perk up. Because you made him nachos, and that makes him love you.

I'll definitely post this contest on my blog. :)

  97. I was just thinking about peanut butter cookies, and here you go making 'em better with Heath bars. Leave it to you to know how to raise the bar.

  100. You haven't posted in three days, I'm beginning to worry that you have 69nd yourself to death. Please say it isn 't so.

  101. Those cookies look so good! When I feel better I am going to have to try them! I mean, toffee and peanut butter? Who could resist?

    ReplyDelete
  102. Brushetta or stuffed mushrooms.. it's kinda a toss up! But I always make 69 of each! :) And those cookies are killing my low carb diet.. I guess I can always eat them without the toffee.. and I guess I'll have to lose the flour, sugar, chocolate and baking soda.. but hey, I can eat the peanut butter, eggs and butter!! :) As always.. your posts rock!! Ciao..

  105. Donna, sorry I am so late in responding, but I read this post multiple times with joy! Yes, it is the 69th post, so it is deserving of more Ty and Clooney! Tyler had better "man up" and put some Vaseline on his raw man parts because Donna has more in store!

  106. Donna, not too long ago I made cookies like these, minus the milk, and using both, English toffee bits and milk chocolate toffee bits, and boy were they good! For those who haven't made these yet, but are considering to, I'd like to say... please give this recipe a try, as they are that good!
