I SO SO SO know what my job should really be, forget about my job as an RN, I have a better one. I wanna work in a carnival.. I want to be one of the people like a weight guesser

BUT I want to guess Johnson size. I want to guess to within the nearest 1/2 inch. Being the expert at lumpage evaluation, in terms of size, texture, hairiness, and thickness, I could make a fortune.. Wouldnt that be something?? Oh, the fun I could have. The stories I could tell. The johnsons I could evaluate..
Anyway, I know who would have a nice Johnson, and this man knows it to.
I have missed My Guy Ty, his hotness.

Why, oh Why, does The buffman always where this smirk when we are together, anyone?
I have been absent at TFF for a while, due to hectic scheduling, life, etc. But I am Back in his hotnesses saddle, and we are gonna have a ride, and Tyler is so freaking grateful, you see he missed me too.
When he saw me coming, we did a little dance,
--Actually I did the dance on the table with heels, and DUH yes a skirt. He loves loves loves to watch me--
made a little love,

and went down tonight.

went down tonight..

Just like old times.

No room for jealousy ladies, however, this is how My Guy Ty always looks after I get through visiting with him.. See that shocked smile. Take it for what its worth.
My FFH said to me the other night on the couch, I am in the mood for something. Oh Yes, I thought, Im gonna get me some, yippee, hee hoho, lets go, marineman. But alas, he said Im craving your cheesecake. OK, headlights stopped flashing, twinges went away, and Ty and I got down to business.
Tyler's Ultimate Cheesecake is Wonderful. If you need a go to cheesecake, this is it! I am telling you, it is fantastic. Freaking fantastic. This is my entry for Tyler Florence Fridays.
Let's begin with the crust. Get some graham crackers

and finely grind them. Melt your butter,
and add this to the graham crackers along with some cinnamon.Mix till moistened.

Lightly coat your 8 inch pan(why Ty chose 8 not 9 Ill never know) He's a 9er to me. with spray and press the crumbs into the bottom of the pan and a bit up the sides.

Refrigerate for a bit. For your filling, in the bowl of your mixer beat your cream cheese for 1 minute. Add your eggs, then your sugar, and beat until creamy. Add your sour cream, lemon zest and vaniilla.

Batter should be well mixed not overbeaten.

Pour the filling into your crust lined pan

and flatten with spatula. Set your cheesecake pan on aluminum foil

and wrap it up the sides. Place it in a roasting pan and pour boiling water 1/2 way up the sides. Place in oven for 45-50 minutes.

Cheesecake should still jiggle, so dont over cook. It will firm up(firm up, big boy, firm up, mamas a waiting) after chilling. Let cool in pan for 30 minutes. refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Remove from pan
and serve plain,

oh look how dreamy creamy, Insert Tys joke..I'll give you something to cream bout honey!

oh look at that crust,

or served with your favorite topping,

I chose some fresh strawberries with some sugar I let sit for a bit, and topped it with that.
This is killer.

I love it. FFH loves it.

Truly a great one to try.

And not hard at all (Unlike Ty on his reunion visit with me)
I received an award

ReplyDeleteI've made Ty's Cheesecake before and it is the bomb! I think it is the best I've ever had! Yours looks real yummy with the strawberries on top. I bet Tyler was missing you!!
ReplyDeleteThe best part in a cheesecake is the topping. Yours look delicious.
ReplyDeleteI just bought Tyler's Ultimate book. It's great and the pictures are really good.

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty cheesecake! Strawberry is my favorite, simple but just perfect :)
ReplyDeleteDonna - that looks just great....I'm having a hard time posting a comment again. I hope this gets through!!!
ReplyDeleteShut up! I was just thinking last night about how I wanted to make this cheesecake again, only with strawberries instead of the blueberries his original recipe called for. And you did it. ANd I'm so freakin' jealous! I SO want a piece NOW!!!I made this for my MIL's birthday a while back and it's about time for me to make it again...(sigh).
ReplyDeleteOh creamy deliciousness, come to me. Ewww! that sounded gross.
Cheesecake and Tyler - can't get any better than that. Two hunks. Add strawberries and the sky is the limit and it looks like you've gone over the top.
ReplyDeleteAlso congratulations on the award.
I just saw the picture of your four on the left - cute kids. How did I miss that before? Well I'm a blonde, so we won't go there.
Sam
Glad you're back in the saddle again!! This cheesecake looks awesome!! Yum, yum.
ReplyDeleteI still think my peanut butter cheesecake is the best but when it comes to fruit covered ones this one takes the cake....LOL It looks simply perfect Donna, Great Job!!
ReplyDeleteHaha hilarious! I'm impressed you made your own crust!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great cheesecake, I bet Tyler was quite pleased :)
ReplyDeleteThat's really an ultimate cheesecake!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd as always, Mr. Guy Ty looks so gorgeous! :D
Holy crap I love cheesecake.
ReplyDeleteGood Gawd Woman, where DO you get all those Tyler pix from? LOL. You are such a hoot! I love the fact that your strawberry sauce is light. So many are too thick and syrupy that you get a toothache from all the sugar overload. Looks luscious! *slurp!*
ReplyDeleteAh Donna, what would I do without your blog, never change!
ReplyDeleteThis cheesecake looks SO good, I don't know what looks better, the cheesecake, or the men!
I bet there's none left now for me. I like Cheesecake served plain.
ReplyDeleteThe TY pix are .... LOL.... I gotta stop and laugh before I could continue to read......
p.s. Have been wondering what "FFW" could mean......now I got it.
yummmmmmmm... I want some cheesecake... and Tyler Florence :)
ReplyDeleteMMMMMM...the cheese cake looks absolutely fabulous!! Rich & decadent!
ReplyDeleteExactly like I love it!
I love cheesecake! I haven't made one in a long time. This recipe looks simple and delicious!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your new job idea...how wonderfully that would suit you :) Too funny!
ReplyDeleteI know I always make mention of not being a huge "sweets fan", but cheesecake is one exception...especially strawberry cheesecake! My family has actually started getting me a cheesecake for my b-day in place of an ordinary b-day cake. I worked a long shift at the hospital yesterday and couldn't decide if I could muster up enough energy to make a trip to the grocery store, but I know I won't be able to stop thinking about this cheesecake until I make it!!! I'm never going to forgive you ;)
oh this looks sinfully good!!! I have a huge weakness for cheesecake!!! yum x 10000000!!
ReplyDeleteCheesecake and my thighs don't get along. Too bad for them, I'm going to make this this weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteCheesecake is meant for gods and goddesses ~ let's indulge!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm cheesecake. Always a hit around my house:)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are back from your TFF hiatus! And with such a banging recipe (pun most certainly intended). I'm sure Ty is glad as well, he must have missed your weekly alone time.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Cheesecake rules.
ReplyDeleteOh, My goodness! That cheesecake looks so decadent! How can you do this with us?? It's mouth watering! It's a desperation!
ReplyDeleteThat looks super! I've done the water-bath with my cheesecake. I'll have to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you wouldn't eat this whole thing yourself. I just love cheesecake and I am loving the strawberries as well. Perfection.
ReplyDeletep.s. If you ever come to California, I will take you to Mill Valley so you can stalk your guy Ty. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed with this cheesecake because of its simplicity. Every day we're bombarded with cheesecake sugar bombs from The Cheesecake Factory and other such places. While I like the sugar bombs as much as anyone else, it's refreshing to see a plan, simple, speaks-for-itself, understated cheesecake, topped simply with a few fruit slices. It's cheesecake at its roots. It's a taste of Brooklyn in everyone's kitchen.
ReplyDeleteYou know _ I don't watch any TV - really. So I've never seen Tyler and get all his recipes via - you! You may convert me back. because I like a good, creamy, rich luscious cheesecake. And I know I'd love that one.
ReplyDeleteYou and I make them different for sure! Looks good and light is what I need sometimes!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so silky smooth!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're back on TFF this week : ) I've been eyeing this cheesecake for awhile. I'm glad to hear that it's good. It looks yummy : ) I need to get a springform pan!!
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow! I was hesitant about my suggestion for a Food TV Hottie calendar. Guess I'm becoming a prude. Great cheesecake shots--oh and the dessert looks good, too. LOL.
ReplyDeleteComing over from TFF- this looks so good, I LOVE cheesecake!
ReplyDeletehttp://sogkonniteliving.blogspot.com
That cheesecake looks good! Now I am craving a slice.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, that looks good! I haven't had cheesecake in a while.
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't been around.....you know how it goes!
~ingrid
this cheesecake was killer - don't tell anyone but me and the boyfriend ate the whole thing in less than 12 hours. next time i will have to try the strawberries.
ReplyDeletejohnson size guesser - lol.
I've always been slightly afraid of making a cheesecake...just seems a little difficult to do I guess.....however, since it's one of the boyfriend's favorite sweets I should probably figure it out :)
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, and good pick, I need a slightly different cheesecake recipe from the one I've been making for an event coming up, and this one looks tasty.
