Yessirree. I hurt my shoulder you see and its been getting progressively worse. Doctor man with the big green eyes, slightly balding head, and quirky smile asked how it happened. You know me by now ..I could not resist... I just had to say swinging from the chandelier.
Straight faced, turned my eyes down embarrassed look, just to get him going. Well, he looked at me with newly interested eyes and gave me a most thorough exam. Turns out I needed a big ass cortisone shot,

I have a couple of delicious cookies for you. I made them for my FFH to take to work today while I was playing with, um visiting, the Doc. His name was Steve. But he said I could call him Jaguar.
These Almond Roca cookies, original recipe here was handpicked by Emeril, you know, squishy johnson guy, as a winner in one of his cookie contests. It has been a winner here in my home for almost 3 years.
In one bowl, whisk together your dry ingredients, flour, baking soda, and salt. In your mixer, blend together your sugars. Add butter to form a grainy paste. Then add your eggs, vanilla and mix till light and fluffy. At low speed, add in your flour mixture and toffee bits.
Look how pretty together. Recipe on key ingredient card below if youd like to try and I recommend you try. I also recommend the occasional Brazilian wax, ans herbal body wraps. Don't forget to enter my giveaway for a $25,00 Amazon Gift Certificate Here, ends on Tuesday! I want to thank Sophie of Sophies Foodiefiles for this most generous award
the SPLASH award!

ReplyDeleteMuuuuuuwaaaaaaaah! Thanks!
Those almond Roca ones are awesome...OMG, must have.
ReplyDeleteoh Donna i was laughing so much reading the post....u have amazing writing skills yaa!!! And coming to the cookies, they look fantastic!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow do you luck out with the good looking doctors? I never get good looking doctors? I once had a handsome PA take x-rays in the emergency room once, but he was also young enough to call me "Ma'am". If I wore that outfit to my gyno I think she'd refuse to see me anymore! She'd insist on multiple STD tests.
ReplyDeleteOf course if I ate all of these yummy cookies, it wouldn't matter if my doctor was good looking. I'd be so fat he would be all disgusted, but it would be worth it for all of the tastiness. I don't need any good-looking doctors anyway. I have a husband who would love me if I got fat from all of these cookies as long as I saved him a few. He just cares about my big boobs. the rest is unimportant.
I literally spit my lunch out!! You are so funny.
ReplyDeleteThe cookies look amazing. I wish I enjoyed baking more!
Donna, what delicious looking cookies, and that was quite the doctor's experience lol!

You have one lucky family! Yum on both those cookies (I can't believe you make 'em two kinds!!!). BTW, I can never figure out what chocolate chip cookies aren't always chocolate chocolate chip cookies.

ReplyDeleteI can always count on a good recipe and a laugh when visiting your blog! Both of these cookies look great and I will add them to the "must try" list :)
ReplyDeleteI always think it's so crazy when people don't like cilantro! But they say you either love it or hate it. You can pretty much always sub parsley for any cilantro recipe - would he like that?
ReplyDeleteThat Almond Roca one sounds really good. Funny I was jsut thinking of Christmas cookies the other day. Christmas in July.
ReplyDeleteI love almond roca! When I was a kid I would sneak them all the time around Christmas (which was the only time they were in the house). I need to try these cookies immediately.

ReplyDeleteMy orthopedic guy is ADORABLE (and I do mean adorable!) as well... he's operating on me on Monday (yikes!) wish I had a way to fancy up that ugly blue hospital gown. If you have any suggestions I would love them. I can't wear make up or jewelry either... I hope I don't drool or snore when they knock me out!
