so no holds barred..if I'm going to offend please just skip on to the food. You know ease on down the road, ok? I got a plea in an email yesterday for some advice.. A Dr. Ruth Dear Donna type letter..
Email read... Hi Donna! LOVE your blog... blah blah blah... I was hoping youd have a suggestion for me. It seems like I am always in the mood if you know what I mean... like duh.. and was hoping you can tell me how to get him in the mood. He is always tired... and she elaborated. I thought for a bit on the subject and came up with this verse.
If you're horny and he's not, put on a show.
There was more advice given involving no gag reflexes, stilettos
Victorias secret, fav number 69, scratch marks, girl/girl
and the like. But I digress. For another time and place. Onto my imitations of the day. HOWEVER HOWEVER, I have an excerpt from a blog for you to see... lookie here.. Chef E did a parody of me and my type of post, you know about throbbing sausages and stuff. Click here if you want a fun read. Lovely job, Chef E. You really did a good ..hand .. I mean job.

and a true pleaser

Cut any size you like. Lovely.
Thank you so much for this one!! My second imitator is from one of my very best bloggy friends Cheryl of Cooking Dunkin Style. This was the perfect Milk Chocolate Mousse for my FFH. He loved this one. So simple.. melt these

Yum.. whip some heavy cream.. combine

..en-freaking-joy. I made it 2 times in 2 weeks. He ate all the servings
My new go to
So easy, so delicious
Thank you Cheryl, perv #2.
Lastly but not leastly, this one is from Lisa of Jersey Girl Cooks. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures of these. I was in the midst of tequila shots.... oh god, I cant even mention that without feeling nauseous. Introducing Apple Streusel Cheesecake Bars. INGRID are you listening.. I think you might love these. Layers of delicious flavor all conveniently started with a bagged cookie Mix! No one will even guess that! Promise!Oatmeal cookie layer, cheesecake layer, apple filling layer topped with an oatmeal cookie nut layer.
Holy Crap, I am telling you, this
was the favorite of my company. I had bunches of desserts and this was loved by all
Thank you Lisa, for a keeper!! This award is for all three of you.
Again I am in one of those WTF moods, so I must sign off before I get too rowdy in front of you with my punching bag here. Yeah, use your imagination. It's a good thing.

Of course I did not skim on down to the recipes, but enjoyed your sonnet (?) very much and am amused that you've become a sex therapist! I have to know: Do you actually make your family three desserts in one day? If so, I'm comin' over.....

Thanks for the warning!
ReplyDeleteI love the mini sheet cake idea.
Great advice. I tend to have that sort of ineqaulity of hornieness in my own household. My eerily-young-looking husband is actually 11 years my senior, plus he works some long ass hours, so it's not always easy to get him in the mood. I'ts your website that always reminds me that I should remember how much he loves my red, crocodile-embossed, 4" heeled slides.
ReplyDeleteBut what I really loved was just opening this page and seeing those chocolate cakes. That was a treat just to look at.
sweets sweets!! love this post!! yummm!!! love the cheese cake donna!!
ReplyDeleteYou always find such yummy things! I am going to have to try all 3 of these, especially the apple bars :)

ReplyDeleteGreat recipes -- I've made the Texas sheetcake many times. Like the way you decorated the minis. I'm eyeing up that mousse.
ReplyDeleteI don't get the poem, it's about a guy who isn't horny. Never heard of one of those. ;)
ReplyDeleteUm that should do it! Sound advice :-)
ReplyDeleteAll of these look delicious. If I weren't so lazy I'd go make one or 3. I know what you mean about the headache. I had one myself last night. Not fun.
Ususally taking a nap helps me.
Hahah you're hilarious :) Love the recipes, look delish!
ReplyDeleteYa gotta love how easy Texas Sheetcake is to make (I make the Pioneer Woman one, which looks the same). The mousse and the background of a swimming pool-- Geez, Donna, you're killing me! That looks so easy, but so good! I'd eat six of each of those desserts in one sitting and I would feel no shame.
ReplyDeleteAll three desserts look and sound de-lish! I "NEED" to make them! I haven't made a Texas sheet cake for years. And those apple bars look fe-nom!
ReplyDeleteOh my, everything looks so good, especially that cake!
ReplyDeleteYou always crack me up. I would have to guess that you have one of the luckiest husbands ever. Hope that headache is long gone!
That poem was hysterical - LOL! I could just picture someone singing that to the tune : ) All those desserts sound great. I love how easy the mousse is. I've always heard that chocolate mousse is a favorite for guys!! I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite because they all look fantastic!!
ReplyDeletedid I miss something? cold hard frosting? is that the answer?
ReplyDeleteAll of your desserts look so tempting and tasty, but the apple appeals the most to me. Apple and cream cheese, decadence!
ReplyDeleteMini Texas Sheet cakes...it's almost an oxymoron eh? Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't pay me to skip your pornalicious rhyming Donna ... also, the chocolate mousse would come in use in the bedroom too, if need be ;)
ReplyDeleteI see a future for you as a poet. You definitely have got some talent. You know, if the whole nursing thing doesn't work out.
