My laptop was infected with a virus, had it repaired for almost $200.00. Took 3 freaking days. Anyway, now I can NOT scroll uploaded pictures through blogger, unless its within the box frame.. I usually upload tons, but now they wont move!! Therefore only a few picture here. Can anyone help me? Cheryl? I tried new editor and I am so computer non-savvy that it doesn't work either. Pretty please with multiple orgasms on top?
This post took me too long.. I need to be able to scroll. This delicious Cheesy Beer Bread was found on Annie's Eats. Perfect with soup or toasted with butter. To make combine these, flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and shredded cheddar cheeseWhisk to combine well
Now add your cheddar cheese and whisk again.
Slowly add your favorite beer
to the dry ingredients
and stir till just combined, and all ingredients moistened. Place into prepared loaf pan and pour melted butter over the top.
Place in oven at 350 and bake 50-60 minutes
or until toothpick comes out clean.
It's a lovely
delicious
bread.

You might try going to the blogger help site. You can post a question there and someone might respond. Or you might even find the problem already discussed and answered.
ReplyDeleteIt worked for me. Some time ago, I was unable to edit any posts on my desktop, so I essentially lost all my drafts. The edit page would come up with the column of tags on the left, but no body of edits in the middle. Someone responded and told me to clear my cache. And it worked.
Good luck!
Oh, cheesy beer bread looks amazing! I can just imagine it alongside some soup...sounds awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to scroll pictures up or down (other than "in the box") for months now. I've been switching to HTML and cutting the ones I need moved and then pasting into proper place, then switching back to compose. Quite a pain, but haven't figured out any other way!
The beer bread looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could help you with your computer problems, but I'm not sure what would them. Did you try Googling your problem? I have found a few solutions that way. I hope you get it fixed soon!

ReplyDeleteThe bread looks awesome!!! Sorry, but I can't help with your problem. I'm a total feeb when it comes to technology!!!
ReplyDeleteok this bread looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI have been having the same problem too, it only started happening in the last 2 or 3 weeks and it makes posting so much harder and time consuming. If you figure it out please let me know!
I love beer bread, especially with cheese added to the mix! Yum! This looks excellent, Donna, nice and quick too.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had some answers for you on the photo loading, but I'm pretty feeble in this area too. I do hope someone can help you ... it sounds incredibly frustrating. I'm so sorry. :(

Ahhhh..computers, I hate them.Sorry I cant help.
ReplyDeleteMaybe post a question on Blogger help.
Interesting, I wondered why I couldn't scroll down photos and resorted to editing the html. It is a HUGE pain the butt!!! If you find out a way to do it easier please share!!

I have a recipe for cheddar beer biscuits and those are good, so I'll definitely give this a try!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that you're having 'puter problems. I used to rant and rave at my old laptop freezing up all the time. I hope you get the help you need, cuz you need to scroll, girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteInstead of fast corn bread, I need to give this quick bread a whirl. Sounds fab, especially with chili.
Oh, I wish I could help you - but I've been though a hard drive crash plus a virus this year. Frustrating isn't a strong enough word.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I love the idea of cheese in bread, I'll just look the other way when I have to add the beer!
This bread would be great with soup! I googled what may be your problem... let me know if this is what it's about and if this works!

I can't move my photos any more! When I click on HTML and go to edit there's just gobbledegook there. I used to be able to drag them around but must have inadvertentlyly changed something because now there's a little box which says left, centre etc but I can't scroll them down or move them at all down the page so they are beside the relevant text. Help?

You are using the updated editor (which allows you to place photos at your cursor position inside the post editor.)
If you are not happy with that you can go back to using the old editor:
1. Go to settings, basic.
2. Scroll down to "select post editor".
3. Choose "old editor"
4. Save settings.
My German blood husband would love this!!!
ReplyDeleteI've had beer bread before, but never with cheese. Yum!!!! Definitely going to give this a whirl.
ReplyDeleteSorry about you computer problems, they're definitely a pain in the ass when they're uncooperative. Hopefully you'll find a solution soon.
I'm not much help, but I had that problem when I first switched to using Chrome, but when I'd go back to IE it would let me do it. (since then it works in Chrome too) Maybe try a different browser?
ReplyDeleteThe bread sounds super...I made something similar once and loved it!
Sorry about your computer issues, I wish I could help! (Technology problems are so frustrating!!)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this bread looks delicious, and I think I'll go perfectly with a lentil soup I'm making later in the week!
computer problems are a pain! i'm sorry you're having problems. the bread on the other hand looks wonderful!
ReplyDeletegreat bread! wish I could help with the computer issues but every evening for the last few days it seems like time warner is up to something and my connection almost grinds to a halt!
ReplyDeleteBlogger likes to mess with me too. It takes away all my spaces between lines.. won't let me cut and paste.. it is just mean!
ReplyDeleteThe cheesy beer bread looks really good though.. I wonder if I should made that tonight..?
ps, Tea Lady has a post titled 101 uses for a frozen banana... so naturally I immediately thought of you! ;-)
I have great thoughts about your bread and evil ones about your computer. I wish I could help. The bread looks delicious and is easy to do. I've just put it on my hit-list.
ReplyDeletemmmm..buonissimo!! complimenti sei bravissima!
ReplyDeleteI'm completely useless with computer issues. You were able to scroll pictures? Really? I don't think I've ever been able to do that because I didn't know that I should've been able to, LOL.
ReplyDeleteThe bread looks super good. Would be perfect with a nice soup! YUM YUM
Sorry to hear about your computer problems. I know I have had a few problems with Wordpress and it usually ends with me wanting to punch my computer...I have anger issues...haha.
ReplyDeleteNow onto this bread...delicious! I have had beer bread in the past and always found it to be very tasty. I'm sure this is not different...good job:)
I have been wondering where or what you have been busy....
ReplyDeleteI would go checking "blogger help" out, maybe other people have encountered the similar problem. I don't use blogger picture upload, because the result url is too long and that makes me dizzy to just read at it.
Cheesy beer bread looks classic!
I never realized that blogger only allows so much space for photos, so have you looked into that yet? I am getting pretty close to using up my allowed space, and am making mine much smaller...
ReplyDeleteThe bread looks divine as all your dishes do!
Yum I bet this would be damn good with chili! Perfect fall meal! Sorry about your virus...that really stinks!
ReplyDeleteI add photos painstakingly one by one - which is why I don't add a lot. There seems to be no choice. However, what you added was grand - that bread looks so scrumptious I will not be able to get it out of my head.
ReplyDeleteBeer has been called "liquid bread".. Both have much common ground.. I prefer to drink beer and eat bread- got a nice homemade wheat on next post!
ReplyDeleteWow. The exact same thing happened to me after I had a virus eat my computer and I had to reload the entire hard drive. I don't know what's up with that. It does make make it more time consuming to add photos. I guess the only thing to do is load the photos first and put the text around them.
ReplyDeleteI also find that Blogger always messes up my line breaks. I suppose if my HTML skills were better, this wouldn't happen, but I'm not Blogger because I don't have HTML skills. I've been wanting to move my "main" blog on MySpace over to Blogger, I even have the page set up for it, but I'm reluctant to do it these days because MySpace is much easier to edit.
The new Blogger editor seems to have its own set of problems. I am thinking of going back to the old editor where I could change the size of photos to what I want, not to the standard sizes, the new editor prescribes.
ReplyDeleteSorry, you are going through this.
Ugh, sorry you're having blog/computer issues, that's just the worst! Your bread looks amazing though, I also saw that on Annie's blog and have been meaning to make it!

ReplyDeleteoh no! i hope your laptop feels better soon :( i can't believe you don't have any dirty pictures on here! it's not a real donna post!!
ReplyDeleteI feel like cheesy beer bread is probably the ULTIMATE recovery food from computer stress. I mean, cheese and beer and bread on their own are pretty amazing for that...

The bread looks delicious!! I think this is one I have to make! I'm sorry about your photo issue. :-( Hope you can figure it out!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it would solve your problems, but I've never enjoyed using blogger and my husband downloaded Windows Live Writer not long after starting my blog. It. is. awesome! Never had any problems with it. I'm so clueless when it comes to computer stuff!
ReplyDeleteThis is the second time this week I have seen someone make beer bread. It looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteI hope your computer problems are solved. I hate that!!
I have the same problem with pictures and it drives me CRAZY. It shouldn't be that difficult!

ReplyDeleteSorry you're having trouble. Wish I could help but i'm inept at figurin' out them computers.
ReplyDeleteLove your bread recipe. Thanks.
Hi Donna,
ReplyDeleteThere is an option to check whether you want the old or new editor in some of the blogger insides. Does that ring a bell? I'm not sure if that is it but it might be a clue I hope.
If you need help finding it I'll go through it and guide you to it.
I am so sorry. :(
Laura
Oh and your beer bread yum!!!
your bread looks fantastic. I wonder if Sir Sportsalot would be upset if I stole another one of his beers for cooking. LOL
ReplyDeleteDont know if you know this but many times pictures from the web are infected with trojans (yes trojans). As in viruses that will eat away at your computer, check out personal info- ie bank accounts, credit card numbers...
ReplyDeleteFor this reason I rarely download or copy pictures. It sucks too cause I see lots of cute pictures I would love to save.
For a while I couldn't move my gadgets or add any new ones because the new one wouldn't budge from the top spot. I was using Google Chrome. One day I switched browsers from Chrome to Internet Explorer and voila, I could move the gadgets. You would think Blogger was compatible with Google Chrome. I can't move pictures in the posts either. They are stuck like glue. Maybe I should post using Internet Explorer too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
Sam
Is this the scrumptious savory quick bread I saw over on Natashya's blog? Love it and it's being printed out now as I type!
